Rhymefest Diagnosed With Type 2 Diabetes

Rhymefest will be taking his health much more seriously moving forward. The Chicago rapper was released from the hospital this past weekend after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

Followers of 'Fest's Twitter feed learned that he had checked himself into the emergency room on June 2 for having dangerously high sugar levels in his blood. It was then that the MC, who ran for 20th Ward alderman in Chicago, learned that he had been living with diabetes unbeknownst to him. The condition can be controlled with diet and exercise, which 'Fest is quickly incorporating into his new, healthier lifestyle.
