Celebrities To Help Launch Charity Initiative To Stop Sex Slavery

Ashley Rickards, AnnaLynne McCord and Shay Mitchell invite you to join Somaly Mam ? heroine, survivor of sex slavery and co-founder of the Somaly Mam Foundation ? for the Los Angeles launch of PROJECT FUTURES global, a new platform for volunteers, activists and young professionals to ?ght trafficking and modern-day slavery.

The event takes place at the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills on July 23, and will include hors d’?uvres by Spanish chef Jos� Andr�s, an open bar, a silent auction and music by Chhom Nimol of the LA Cambodian pop band Dengue Fever. Other hosts for the event include Emmanuelle Chriqui, Ron Livingston & Rosemary DeWitt and Laurie Holden. Tickets available at futuresNYlaunch.eventbrite.com.

The Somaly Mam Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the eradication of slavery worldwide, with a special focus on Southeast Asia, where the trafficking of women and girls is widespread. SMF supports survivor rescue, shelter, and restoration programs globally, as well as empowering survivors of slavery with job training and education. SMF’s awareness and advocacy campaigns shed light on the crime of human trafficking and involve governments and individuals in the fight against modern-day slavery.

SMF’s newest program, PROJECT FUTURES global, engages a generation of young professionals, students and activists in the fight. By using their talents skills and tapping into social media, this passionate network of volunteers can produce grassroots campaigns and events to raise awareness and funds for the cause.
